Guarantee Policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026
This Guarantee Policy sets out the guarantee provided by The Landscape Repair Company (“we”, “us” or “our”) in relation to landscaping repair and related services carried out by us.
The Landscape Repair Company
Website: thelanscaperepaircompany.co.uk
Email: info@thelanscaperepaircompany.co.uk

1. Our commitment to you
We take pride in the quality of our workmanship and aim to complete all landscaping repair work to a high professional standard.
Where a guarantee is provided for specific work, we will make reasonable efforts to correct defects in our workmanship that arise during the applicable guarantee period, subject to the terms and exclusions set out in this policy.
Our guarantee is intended to give you additional reassurance about the quality of our workmanship.
2. What our guarantee covers
Unless a different guarantee period has been agreed with you in writing, our workmanship guarantee covers defects that are directly attributable to the workmanship carried out by The Landscape Repair Company.
Depending on the work undertaken, this may include issues such as:
defective workmanship;
failure of a repair that is directly attributable to how the work was carried out; or
other workmanship-related defects that were not reasonably apparent when the work was completed.
If we determine that an issue is covered by our guarantee, we will, where reasonably appropriate, repair or rectify the affected work.
3. Guarantee period
The applicable guarantee period will depend on the type and nature of the work carried out.
Where a specific guarantee period has been agreed, that period will be stated on your quotation, invoice or other written documentation.
If no specific guarantee period has been agreed in writing, any guarantee offered by us will be subject to the terms of this policy and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Important: Different materials, products and specialist installations may be subject to separate manufacturer or supplier guarantees. Where applicable, those guarantees will be governed by the relevant manufacturer's or supplier's terms.
4. Materials and products
Our guarantee primarily relates to our workmanship.
Materials and products supplied by third parties may be covered by the manufacturer's own warranty or guarantee rather than by our workmanship guarantee.
Examples may include:
paving materials;
slabs;
artificial grass;
timber;
fencing products;
drainage products;
sealants;
landscaping materials; and
other products supplied or installed as part of a project.
Where a manufacturer or supplier provides a separate warranty, we may assist you in making a claim where reasonably possible, but the manufacturer's own terms and conditions will apply.
5. What is not covered
Our guarantee does not normally cover problems caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or by factors unrelated to our workmanship.
This may include:
normal wear and tear;
accidental damage;
misuse or neglect;
damage caused by third parties;
damage caused by vehicles or machinery;
damage caused by animals;
vandalism;
unauthorised alterations or repairs;
failure to follow care or maintenance instructions;
lack of appropriate maintenance;
movement or settlement of ground or soil;
subsidence;
ground movement;
flooding or excessive water;
drainage problems that were not caused by our workmanship;
extreme or unusual weather conditions;
storms;
frost damage;
unusually heavy rainfall;
drought;
natural growth or movement of plants;
damage caused by roots;
pre-existing structural or ground conditions;
defects in materials supplied by a customer;
changes to the property or surrounding area after our work has been completed; or
circumstances that could not reasonably have been identified or prevented when the work was carried out.
This list is not exhaustive.
6. Customer-supplied materials
Where you provide materials or products for us to install or use, we cannot guarantee the quality, suitability or durability of those materials.
We will, where reasonably possible, advise you if materials appear unsuitable for the proposed work.
However, responsibility for the suitability and condition of customer-supplied materials remains with the customer.
7. Natural materials and landscaping
Landscaping work can be affected by natural conditions and environmental factors.
Changes in soil, weather, drainage, temperature, sunlight, moisture and other environmental conditions can affect the appearance and performance of landscaping work.
Natural materials and living plants may change over time and cannot be guaranteed to remain in exactly the same condition or appearance as when the work was completed.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, our guarantee does not cover natural growth, seasonal changes, plant failure caused by environmental conditions, or changes resulting from normal settlement or natural movement.
8. Customer maintenance
Some landscaping work requires ongoing maintenance to remain in good condition.
Customers are responsible for carrying out reasonable maintenance and following any care instructions provided by us or the relevant manufacturer.
Failure to properly maintain the work may invalidate the guarantee where the lack of maintenance has contributed to the problem.
9. Reporting a problem
If you believe that work carried out by us is defective or covered by our guarantee, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
You can contact us using:
Email:info@thelanscaperepaircompany.co.uk
Telephone: 07919766696
When contacting us, please provide:
your name;
the property address;
details of the work carried out;
the approximate date the work was completed;
a description of the problem; and
photographs or videos where appropriate.
Providing photographs can help us assess the issue before arranging an inspection.
10. Inspection
We may need to inspect the affected work before deciding whether the issue is covered by this guarantee.
Where reasonably necessary, we may arrange a site visit to assess:
the nature of the problem;
whether it relates to our workmanship;
whether it is covered by this guarantee; and
the appropriate remedy.
We reserve the right to refuse guarantee work where our inspection reasonably establishes that the issue is not covered by this policy.
11. Remedy
Where a claim is accepted under this guarantee, we will determine the appropriate remedy.
Depending on the circumstances, this may involve:
repairing the affected area;
re-performing part of the original work;
replacing an affected component where appropriate; or
another reasonable solution agreed between us and the customer.
We will aim to provide a reasonable solution that addresses the underlying workmanship issue.
12. Third-party repairs
Customers should not arrange for another contractor to repair or alter work covered by a potential guarantee claim without first contacting us.
If another contractor carries out repairs or alterations before we have had a reasonable opportunity to inspect the work, this may affect our ability to assess the original workmanship and may affect whether the issue is covered by this guarantee.
This does not prevent you from taking reasonable emergency steps to protect your property from further damage.
13. Transfer of guarantee
Unless specifically agreed in writing, our workmanship guarantee applies to the original customer and property for which the work was carried out.
It is not automatically transferable to a subsequent property owner.
If you are selling the property and would like the guarantee transferred to the new owner, please contact us to discuss this.
14. No effect on your legal rights
This guarantee is provided in addition to your statutory rights.
Nothing in this Guarantee Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or limit any legal rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where applicable, consumers have rights under UK consumer protection legislation, including rights relating to services being carried out with reasonable care and skill.
If you have a legal right that provides greater protection than this guarantee, that legal right will continue to apply.
15. Changes to this Guarantee Policy
We may update this Guarantee Policy from time to time.
The version applicable to your work will generally be the version in force when the relevant work was agreed, unless a different written agreement applies.
Any updated policy will be published on:
thelanscaperepaircompany.co.uk

Payment Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 26 August 2026
These Payment Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by The Landscape Repair Company (“we”, “us” or “our”).

Telephone: 07919766696

1. Quotations and agreed prices
Before work begins, we will normally provide a quotation or estimate setting out the work to be carried out and the agreed price.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, the agreed price covers the work and materials specifically described in the quotation.
If additional work is requested by the customer, or additional work becomes reasonably necessary due to circumstances that could not have been identified when the original quotation was prepared, we will discuss the additional work and any additional charges with the customer where reasonably practicable before carrying it out.
2. Payment due on completion
Payment is due as soon as the agreed work has been completed.
Unless a different payment arrangement has been agreed in writing in advance, the full outstanding balance must be paid immediately upon completion of the work.
Completion means that the agreed works have been substantially completed and the area is ready for the customer to inspect, subject to any minor outstanding items that do not prevent the completed works from being reasonably used for their intended purpose.
3. Payment methods
We may accept payment by methods including:
Bank transfer;
Debit or credit card, where available;
Cash; or
Other payment methods agreed with us in advance.
Payment instructions will be provided on the invoice or at the time payment is requested.
4. Invoices
Where an invoice is issued, the invoice will normally confirm:
the work carried out;
the amount due;
any applicable VAT;
payment instructions; and
the date payment is due.
Unless otherwise stated on the invoice, payment is due immediately upon completion of the work.
5. Deposits and advance payments
For certain projects, we may require a deposit or advance payment before work begins.
If a deposit is required, the amount and payment arrangements will be clearly stated in the quotation or other written agreement.
Any agreed deposit will be taken into account when calculating the final balance.
6. Additional work
If you request additional work that is outside the original agreed scope, additional charges may apply.
Where reasonably possible, we will confirm the additional cost with you before carrying out the additional work.
Any agreed additional charges will become payable in accordance with these Payment Terms unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Late payment
If payment is not made when it is due, we may contact you to request payment of the outstanding balance.
We reserve the right, where legally permitted, to charge interest and recover reasonable costs associated with recovering overdue payments.
For business-to-business transactions, statutory interest and compensation may apply under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, where applicable.
8. Non-payment
If an invoice remains unpaid, we may take reasonable steps to recover the outstanding amount.
This may include:
contacting you regarding the overdue balance;
issuing payment reminders;
suspending further work;
using a debt recovery service; or
taking legal action where appropriate.
Any reasonable costs that we are legally entitled to recover may be added to the outstanding balance.
9. Disputed work or invoices
If you believe that there is an issue with the work or that an invoice is incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible.
We encourage customers to raise genuine concerns promptly so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve them.
A dispute regarding part of an invoice does not automatically entitle a customer to withhold an undisputed amount.
10. Guarantee claims
Our Guarantee Policy applies separately to qualifying workmanship issues.
A customer should contact us promptly if they believe that work is defective or covered by our guarantee.
The existence of a guarantee does not remove the customer's obligation to pay for completed work in accordance with these Payment Terms.
11. Cancellation and changes to work
If you wish to cancel or change an agreed project, please contact us as soon as possible.
Any cancellation rights or charges will depend on the circumstances, the stage the work has reached, the agreement between us and applicable consumer protection law.
Where work has already been carried out, payment may remain due for work properly completed and materials reasonably purchased or committed for the project, subject to your legal rights.
12. Consumer rights
Nothing in these Payment Terms is intended to remove or restrict any rights you have under UK consumer protection law.
If you are a consumer, you may have statutory rights relating to the services we provide, including requirements concerning reasonable care and skill and, where applicable, reasonable time and price.
13. Changes to these Payment Terms
We may update these Payment Terms from time to time.
The terms applicable to your work will generally be those provided or agreed when your quotation or contract was accepted, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
